Silence and peacefulness are at the base of our services, offering a great chance to evade and relax from city-life stress and hectic routine.

The river Taro, which passes through the country house grounds as nothing more than a small stream, is a real heaven for all those who love fishing (in particular trout-fishing), and is also a wonderful oasis during the hottest summer days, offering private spots and pools where our clients can enjoy a quick swim, or even just a refreshing cool down.

Pelosa sits on the main road (also called the “Via dei Sapori”, The Flavour-Way, because of the endless woods which it runs through, rich in “Porcini” mushrooms and huge chestnut trees) which through the mountain pass “Passo del Bocco” connects the Taro valley to the ligurian coast. It’s a great starting point for walks of various difficulty up Mount Penna, on the Zatta (the “Alta Via” of the Ligurian Mountains) and in the Aveto National Park. 7 km from Pelosa it’s possible to find some riding stables, allowing our clients to enjoy wonderful horse-rides through the woods.

Going towards Emilia our clients will find plenty of cultural and artistic leisure, visiting the antique and very characteristic towns of the Duchy of Parma and Piacenza, with its castles, strongholds and fortresses. Parma, a perfect example of a modern, extended city complete of all services, yet still absolutely welcoming and people-friendly, has been the home-town of artists such as Parmigianino (Francesco Mazzola) and composers such as Arturo Toscanini and Giuseppe Verdi. During all seasons there is a rich calendar of cultural events, including art exhibitions and concerts, wine and food related events (do not forget Parma produces Parmesan Cheese, Parma Ham and Lambrusco Wine) and guided visits to ducal palaces, museums and churches.
